It's been a while now, that I used to own the Siemens C25, however, I would like to reveal my experience with the Siemens C25. Despite of is plainness it is a robust Siemens-model one can always rely on.
When merely looking at the design of the Siemens C25, one can tell that the Siemens C25 is a small cell phone with dimensions of 11,7x4,7x2,7cm, which is assembled with an antenna. Due to its size and its weight of only 135g, the Siemens C25 ranks as one of the most revolutionary mobile phones when launched. You can get the Siemens C25 in dark blue colour only, changing its cover is not possible. The Siemens C25 is equipped with a smallerly four-lined display, which is sufficient though. On the display of the Siemens C25 one can obtain information on the battery-condition and signal-intensity. In comparison to other cell phones, the keys of the Siemens C25 are kept simple, all together twelve keys can be found on it, which are made of a rubber material and point out relief-like.
The Siemens C25 is of quite some age by now and when it was launched, technical standards were not yet what they are today. That's why the Siemens C25 is not too difficult to operate. The structure of the menu of the Siemens C25 is logical and clearly outlined, so as any user of our time should be able to operate it easily. The keypad of the Siemens C25 is additionally equipped with a special key, with which the telephone book can directly be accessed. This key is of special value for easily operating the Siemens C25. Further the Siemens C25 has a direct-dialing function.
The Siemens C25 is a Dual Band cellular phone and covers all the features, which are absolutely necessary. I need to mention again, that the Siemens C25 is quite antique by now and as a result of that lacks many of the modern features. Yet the features, which are in fact covered by the Siemens C25, are of a very good quality. The battery of the Siemens C25 is surprisingly long-living, hereby allowing the Siemens C25 to have a stand-by time of about 100 hours and a talk time of roughly five hours. The telephone book of the Siemens C25 covers up to 100 entries and the user has the choice between 19 ringing tones, even composing own ringing melodies, which can later be saved on the Siemens C25, is made possible with the Siemens C25. Further the user can choose his keypad tones individually. Sadly the messaging function of the Siemens C25 lacks the T9 text input, a function, which helps writing messages. A message can contain up to 160 characters. However one is neither able to send picture messages, nor can one access the internet or play games with the Siemens C25. The lack of these functions can be excused though, since the Siemens C25 dates back to another kind of celluar phone era than the latest cell phone designs. Yet the Siemens C25 could have covered another rather simple function, a clock. I have to admit that the features, which are covered by the Siemens C25 do well for all the less-demanding users, who value ease of use and good performance more than technichal features.
The reception quality of the Siemens C25 is very good and in any case comparable to more modern cell phones, one can not complain about this. It is rather impressing, that the elderly Siemens C25 already has such a good reception quality. Things are similar with the sound quality of the Siemens C25, its performance is really good and therefore again praiseworthy.
Altogether I can only express myself in a positive way about the Siemens C25, I am still impressed by it when comparing its quality and reliability to more modern cell phones. Although I do own a cell phone of our time by now, I had to learn that in terms of performance the Siemens C25 hardly distinguishes from more modern cell phones.
There are only few differences to be found between the quality (not features!) of the newer C-modells and the qualitiy of the elderly Siemens C25, despite its age.
