Test report and technical data Sagem MC 932
Sagem MC 932 - A beginner's mobile with a few drawbacks
Plus of the Sagem MC 932: small, light, handy
Minus of the Sagem MC 932: keypad, no connection for headset
After my old Alcatel got a swimming lesson and naturally didn't run so well anymore I had to buy a new mobile. The first one I saw in the shop was the Sagem MC 932. I immediately paid for the pre-paid package which included a start credit, and took the Sagem MC 932 with me.
The Sagem MC 932 is the so-called little brother of the Sagem MC 939. The only difference between the two models of Sagem is the flap on the Sagem MC 932 and the menu, which isn't as nicely structured and animated. But the functions of both are totally the same.
The Sagem MC 932 is very small with its dimensions (116 x 45 x 18 mm), a flyweight and very handy for a mobile, which means the Sagem MC 932 is easy to use.
Unfortunately, there are a few disadvantages of the Sagem MC 932: After two months of using the Sagem MC 932 for example, the keypad was worn out. That's a pity because the Sagem MC 932 doesn't look bad at all when it's brand-new. The Sagem MC 932 has a nice shape so that it fits perfectly in the palm of your hand.
Furthermore the keypad was working very slowly in its reactions and motions. It cost me lot of effort to press the buttons of the Sagem MC 932.
To call the Sagem MC 932 a robust mobile would be an exaggeration. One time the Sagem MC 932 fell out of my purse and the screen of the Sagem MC 932 was already scratched.
I can't understand why the Sagem MC 932 doesn't come with a headset, which would be very handy for example behind the steering wheel.
Quality of transmission and reception of the Sagem MC 932 are mediocre. I can't say if such bad reception is a result of bad construction of the Sagem MC 932 itself or if it's depending on the network provider. When the weather is bad I usually have no reception with the Sagem MC 932 at all.
Although the Sagem MC 932 is a rather cheap mobile phone I expect it to work for at least two months!
I can't return the Sagem MC 932 like the salesperson told me before buying the Sagem MC 932: 'only if there's no damage on it'. Even though the malfunctioning keypad of the Sagem MC 932 has nothing to do with the fall, too bad!
So I can't recommend you the Sagem MC 932, not even my worst enemy would get the Sagem MC 932 as a present from me.
