Externe Festplatte wird nicht mehr erkannt

Hallo!

Ich bin total am verzweifeln. Ich habe eine Externe Festplatte von Hitachi und die hat auch ein halbes Jahr ganz normal und gut funktioniert und auf ein mal erkennt mein PC die nicht mehr. Sie wird einfach nicht angezeigt, als wäre nichts angeschlossen. Der USB Anschluss funktioniert aber. Und die Externe Festplatte leuchtet auch und brummt und summt und so (also sie arbeitet denk ich mal). Ich hab keine Ahung wieso das nicht mehr funktioniert und hab auch schon in ganz viele Foren geguckt... aber nix gefunden...
Bitte, ich brauche ganz dringen Hilfe: Auf der Festplatte ist ALLES, alle Dateinen und Fotos und so.
Und leider habe ich selbt überhaupt keine Ahung von Technik.
Bittebittebitte, helft mir!!

Ja, an vier anderen Computern...

I despair at the total. I have an external hard drive from Hitachi, which also has a half years working as normal and good, and at one time does my PC not more. You simply will not appear as if nothing is connected. The USB connection but it works. And the external hard drive also lights up and buzzes and hums and so (that it works, I think times). I have no Ahung why this does not work and had a look already in quite a few forums ... but found nothing ...

Can you see the external hard drive in the devices manager of your computer?
