The Alcatel Max is ideal for everybody looking for a mobile phone with just the basic features like making a call, writing sms etc. The ease of use of the Alcatel Max makes handling the Alcatel Max possible without reading instructions possible, even for the technically less talented. Using the basic features requires only one touch. The instructions manual has a "cheater's page", showing all the features with a black hand (long key press) and a white hand (short key press). That makes it easy to look for a solution when you have a problem with the Alcatel Max. Soon you won't need the "cheater's page" anymore.
The design of the Alcatel Max is a matter of personal taste, but it feels good in your hand and is a lightweight.
The Alcatel Max is available in several colors. The Alcatel Max is robust and will easily survive a few falls. The extractable antenna is a deficit of the Alcatel Max, because it can break easily.
An advantage of the Alcatel Max is its long standby-time (120 hours) as well as its talk-time (5 hours). Charging the battery takes between 30 minutes and an hour. A special feature of the Alcatel Max is that regular alkaline batteries can be used in the Alcatel Max.
In areas where the reception of other mobiles like Nokia 6110 or Siemens S25 fails, the Alcatel Max shows its superiority. The sound quality and quality of transmission of the Alcatel Max are very good, too.
