At the beginning of 2003 Alcatel introduced three new models to the public; one of them was the Alcatel One Touch 332. The Alcatel One Touch 332 is the most simple of these mobiles, if any of these high-tech devices can actually be called that.
The Alcatel One Touch 332 is aimed at customers looking for a low priced but well equipped mobile phone. The Alcatel One Touch 332 is equipped accordingly; everything nice and technically necessary is included in a reasonable way, while playful extras have been left out.
An attractive and, more important, compact design is essential in any up to date mobile phone. Like all current Alcatel models the Alcatel One Touch 332 comes silver-colored. The Alcatel One Touch 332 has the small volume of only 72 cc, and weighs only 77g.
The design-highlight of the Alcatel One Touch 332 is the flashy color display with the high resolution of 112 x 64 and a variation of 4096 different colors. With this screen Alcatel really made breakthrough, they might even convince the biggest skeptics. Until now none of the simpler mobile phone models, from any manufacturer, have had a comparable display.
The Alcatel One Touch 332 is designed for the modest user, and is very attractive to them because of its ease of use.
Also the technical features have been adapted to fit the needs of this specific group of users.
A hands-free function, polyphonic ringer tones, EMS and W@P capabilities are the most important features.
More entertaining functions include downloading animations, games and an alarm. Data is being transferred via GPRS. Additional extras include an organizer and a calculator.
The Alcatel One Touch 332's memory can store as many as 30 SMS, and writing them is made easy by the T9-software, of course.
To complete every one of these functions effectively, the Alcatel One Touch 332 is outfitted with a powerful Li-ion battery, which naturally is vibratory alarm capable.
The Alcatel One Touch 332 sounds like a promising new device that only sets the starting point for a whole new series of Alcatel mobile phones. Accordingly the Alcatel One Touch 332 is the simplest phone launched in the third quarter of 2003. The Alcatel One Touch 332 will be a good alternative for fans of mobiles like the Siemens C-models and the simpler Nokia models.
