Test report and technical data B and O beocom 9800
The B and O Beocom 9800 - as delicious as Danish pastry!
Plus of the B and O Beocom 9800: great design of the B and O Beocom 9800, handy, ease-of-use
Minus of the B and O Beocom 9800: battery of the B and O Beocom 9800 is a bit weak
I've always been a fan of Scandinavia, the people, the culture, the art....
I noticed the clear shapes in the design of the products of the Danish manufacturer Bang&Olufson for a couple of times now. I've already a bought a few of their products, in spite of having to pay a little more for the design.
When I had to decide which mobile phone to buy a few months ago I was very happy to see that Bang&Olufsen was producing hand phones, too.
But the relatively high price of the B and O Beocom 9800 discouraged me at first, and I looked for other brands.
I am a very particular person and I did some intensive research on hand phones, which I might post here some time, too. However, in the end I was back with my favorite company and fortunately decided for the B and O Beocom 9800. I haven't regretted it up to this day.
I will explain some of the features of the B and O Beocom 9800 to you, so you don't think the B and O Beocom 9800 is all design and no technology. The full graphic design of the B and O Beocom 9800 can show 6 x 12 characters. Due to the measurements of 110 x 55 x 22 mm the B and O Beocom 9800 is very handy, really couldn't be any better.
The technology of the B and O Beocom 9800 is, as usual with Bang&Olufson, of the highest quality. Voice dialing and vibratory alarm of the B and O Beocom 9800 don't leave anyone unsatisfied and the features fit in perfectly with the design of the B and O Beocom 9800. With a weight of just 100g the B and O Beocom 9800 is among the top hand phone league.
The only thing where the B and O Beocom 9800 disappointed me, much to my own surprise, is the battery performance of the B and O Beocom 9800. With a standby time of only 130 hours and a talk time of merely 2 hours the B and O Beocom 9800 doesn't belong to the upper class. Since I am not on the phone a lot this disadvantage is not very important to me personally. But I can imagine that this might be a reason for someone, who needs his mobile phone for work, not to get the B and O Beocom 9800.
They have other priorities than design, functions mostly. But if you don't use the B and O Beocom 9800 more than 2 hours per day and have the chance to charge the B and O Beocom 9800 every night and even during the day sometimes, the B and O Beocom 9800 will be sufficient.
If not, you should think about whether the design of the B and O Beocom 9800 is reason enough to buy the B and O Beocom 9800.
