Test report and technical data Nokia 6100
Solid built, doubtlessly a woman's heartbreaker - Nokia 6100 !!!
Plus of Nokia 6100 : TriBand mobile phone, color-display, keypad, battery
Minus of Nokia 6100 : too weak gprs-version, no bluetooth
We still well remember an integrated user- and graphic-interface from other Nokia mobiles, the 7210 and 6610. Most among us can't be impressed either by a display with 4.096 colors, at least not anymore. However the intuitive handling of the ergonomic keyboard has to be emphasized. Managing messages and index is especially easy with the Nokia 6100. The sending- and receiving performance of the Nokia 6100 are remarkably fabulous, yet that's nothing new with Nokia mobiles. Cruising through the well-structured menu doesn't make any problems. The signal intensity is not affected in a negative way by integrating the antenna in the body of the Nokia 6610.
It won't be easy to lose contact to the outside world, when owning the Nokia 6610 since the battery has a really good durability. The battery, a BL-4C battery, is especially flat, allowing the Nokia 6610 not to weigh too much.
The dimensions of the Nokia 6610 (102 x 44 x 13,5 mm) especially delight me and it has a sensational weight of 76 g only.
Design-wise the Nokia 6610 is quite felicitous, there are changeable covers available in numerous different colors.
The Nokia 6100 is assisted by the T9-text input and also features a sms-chat option. There's a to-do-list integrated in the extremely large organizer of the Nokia 6100, I value this function quite a lot. The Nokia 6100 stores up to 300 messages (text and images) which I as well appreciate very much.
The Nokia 6100 has a really good sound quality as well, there are tiny built-in speakers to be found with the Nokia 6100. The loudspeaker of the Nokia 6100 comes in really handy from time to time.
Transferring data with the Nokia 6100 is of absolutely no problem either. It is equipped with GPRS, Bluetooth and a WAP-browser to do so. You can operate with the Nokia 6100 from all over the world since it is a TriBand phone.
Further functions of the Nokia 6100:
- clock, date and alarm clock (which even work if your mobile is switched off)
- calculator and currency-converter
- to-do-list (5 entries possible)
- agenda and calendar (up to 250 entries)
- phone book for 300 entries
- internal memory for 150 text messages and 50 image
- T9-software
- sending and receiving SMS, SMS-Chat
The color screen of the Nokia 6100 is of a good quality and objects displayed on it are all well legible. The only drawback of the Nokia 6100 is that theback of the cover is very unstable and it gnashes when pressed on, something I find very irritating. Be careful not to get the Nokia 6100 wet, that might really harm it!
All in all the Nokia 6100 is a perfect phone, featuring everything except one thing: the Nokia 6100 has no FM Radio and you have to buy the camera as well as the headset for the Nokia 6100 separately... other than that, its a cool phone.
The rich equipment and the technical features of the Nokia 6100, and not to be forgotten its progressive design, make the Nokia 6100 a really attractive mobile.
