Test report and technical data Nokia 6610
Nokia 6610 - An all-rounder!
Plus of Nokia 6610: colored screen, ease of use, radio, infra red
Minus of Nokia 6610: no Bluetooth
If this review was a quiz show, the 1,000,000 $ question would be: Is there anything that does not satisfy all needs about Nokia 6610?
In my case, it wasn't about money; it was just about getting a new phone. I liked the ones by the Finnish manufacturer, as I mainly value ease of use - but still many features to choose from. And then, I wanted a phone to play with me, because no one else does. But what really convinced me of Nokia 6610 was its integrated radio. Can't live without music!
As the sales person told me, Nokia 6610 is one of the most powerful mobile phones on the market and, contrary to what everybody else seems to complain about, I find Nokia 6610 actually looking quite attractively.
(Who says square buttons are ugly?!? Why can't a mobile become broader on top?!? Does everybody have to have identically looking phones?)
Nokia 6610 certainly DOES look different, but it feels great to hold it in your hand.
The dimensions of Nokia 6610 are pretty much average: 106 x 45 x 17.5 mm. I mean, Nokia 6610 doesn't belong in the range of 'supermini mobiles', but at least you won't lose Nokia 6610 as easily as these matchbox sized mobiles on the market nowadays. Concerning Nokia 6610's weight, I am fully satisfied. It is as light as a feather!
The display of Nokia 6610 is still a miracle to me: 4000 different colors assure that everything can be read perfectly. Indeed, the screen of Nokia 6610 is like a colorful lightening! Nokia 6610 has got nice SMS features as well, such as the automatical conjunction of extra long messages, and more.
If you get the headset for Nokia 6610, you are able to listen to VHF radio, too. Without the headset, Nokia 6610 still allows you the listening to a few MP3s and to the music downloaded by yourself. And if there is someone out there who alleges that Nokia 6610 has got a bad sound quality, they are dirty liars! The sound quality of Nokia 6610 is better than a regular walkman's!
One function of Nokia 6610 is special, or I've just never heard about before: There is an option called 'gallery', which provides 725 KB memory capacity for images, tones and so on. Some of the latter can be copied into Nokia 6610's SMS menu.
Nokia 6610 comes with ten images and ten melodies. These images and tones can be sent easily to other mobiles that are capable of receiving them.
I'm also quite satisfied by the reception quality and the battery of Nokia 6610. The talking time is usually between 2 and 5 hours, it depends...
All in all, I want to recommend Nokia 6610 to you, since it is pretty much flawless! And Nokia 6610 is very ease to handle in every way of life.
