Test report and technical data Nokia N-Gage
Nokia N Gage - Nokia's gameboy...
The show must go on - now it's Nokia N Gage !!!
Pros of the Nokia N Gage: ease of use, two-hands-navigation), 3D color-display
Cons of the Nokia N Gage: animated graphics too slow, headset necessary for radio use
On a mobile exhibition today it's impossible to ignore the so called special feature-mobile phones. The Nokia N Gage is one of them. To get an impression of Nokia N Gage, I travelled to rainy London... I think the Nokia N Gage doesn't disappoint the mobile- lover's heart at all.
Nokia N Gage is an excentric phone which sticks out of the 'mobile-frame' not only because of it's design: Nokia N Gage's keypad conceived for both hands reminds me of the navigation system of starship Enterprise &co. The dimensions of the Nokia N Gage whereas controvert this impression: the Nokia N Gage needs heavy 137 g and 134 x 70 x 20 mm, which is too heavy to fly but leaves room for hiding the technical features inside Nokia N Gage.
The use of Nokia N Gage's navigation board really impressed me: It is especially great with Nokia N Gage's fantastic choice of games.
The space-blue color, which is typical for Nokia, brings out the futuristic touch of the Nokia N Gage very well. Which teenager gets along without a Nokia N Gage at all ?
By the way: Nokia N Gage comes with a so called screenscot: by pushing a special button on Nokia N Gage, you can send multimedia-messages (images plus comment as MMS). In addition to that, Nokia N Gage is a Tri Band phone. It means you are able to use it all over the world, bring the Nokia N Gage with you to Honolulu in holidays and send greetings to Greenland.
A stupid question asked a lot by non-technophile mobile-users: How does it work to make calls with Nokia N Gage? Yes, it's a bit queer: you can either wear the ridiculous looking headset that comes with Nokia N Gage, or you must hold Nokia N Gage's small side to your ear. Looks really weird. Be careful: to make phone calls with Nokia N Gage, you need both hands, too.
The most important technical details of Nokia N Gage at a glance: The integrated MP3-/AAC-players allow the use of a multi-player function, such as playing games via Bluetooth, with which the animations are nice but the overall graphic quality could be better, I think. Nokia N Gage also features high-speed GPRS (HSCSD).
The screen of Nokia N Gage has got a high resolution and is huge. Writing SMS with Nokia N Gage looks very professional when you really know how to type! You will feel even more special using Nokia N Gage for a 3D animated game show. Nokia N Gage makes your HiFi system and your gameboy dispensable.
My conclusion: Nokia N Gage is for both Harry Potter fans and for trendy teenagers. Nokia N Gage is like a fortunate star in the sky of mobile phones.
