I have been looking out for a new cell phone for quite a while now, since my old cell phone slowly got out of date over the last couple of years. I was not looking for a technical masterpiece, however I did not mind a couple of nice features. Due to that idea, I settled down on the Siemens A50, further reasons in the upcoming text!
The Siemens A50-series is only produced in one colour, black. On its side it is equipped with silver stripes and due to its osculate form it evokes a very dynamic impression. Who would want to play around with his/her Siemens A50 can still get several exchangeable covers (CLIPits). The Siemens A50 has a height of only 10 cm and with its width of only 4 cm it is not really big. Over and above that the Siemens A50 only weighs about 100g. The display of the Siemens A50 takes in quite a bit of the entire size of the Siemens A50, what comes in quite handy when reading and writing messages. The display glimmers in orange colour and the following symbols are shown on the display of the Siemens A50: time, battery-condition, signal-intensity. In addition to the common keys you can find a direct-key which guides you to the telephone book, two multi-function keys and a power-key.
The thing that specifically convinces me of the Siemens A50 is its user-friendliness, the most important fact regarding a cell phone, according to my opinion. Operating the Siemens A50 is no big challenge, I did read the manual of the Siemens A50, however I could have as well done without it. The outline of the menu is logical and well structured, so as the user does not need to worry about operating the Siemens A50.
Looking at the Siemens A50 from its technical side, one can surely be surprised of its performance. The lithium-ion-battery of the Dual Band Siemens A50 is of an above-average quality, allowing the stand-by time of the Siemens A50 to be much better than the one of many other cell phones. The Siemens A50 has entire 250 hours of stand-by time and the talk time reaches up to six hours. The telephone book of the Siemens A50 covers up to 120 entries, which then can be arranged in various groups. The most amazing features of the Siemens A50 are its W@P-ability and its integrated T9 text input. Further features as the alarm, numerous ringing tones, games, screen savers and a vibratory alert need to be mentioned.
A feature which I would strongly miss cannot be found. In general all the technical datas go well with the price one has to pay for the kind of cell phone as the Siemens A50 is.
The reception quality of the Siemens A50 reveal the quality of the cell phone. It is even made possible to send faxes and other kinds of data, yet I haven't checked out this feature so far.
The sound quality of the Siemens A50 is precisely how one wants it to be, I can not report any negative experiences.
I am very satisfied with the purchase of the Siemens A50. The Siemens A50 covers all the features which I need to have and skipps all those unnecessary features one rarely makes use of. The quality of all the features is very convincing and I can recommend the Siemens A50 to just anybody, since it is of good quality, easily operated and it covers numerous practical features...and all this for not too much money!
