Test report and technical data Siemens MT50
Combining a high technical standard, many features and a good internet function is now made possible!
Pros: features, design
Cons: quality of keys
Regardless of the manufacturer I wanted to have a modern, most trendy mobile. Not having too much money kinda narrowed down the possibilities but I at least tried to find a model which features most of the up-to-date stuff. That's how I found the Siemens MT50...
I particularly liked the design of the Siemens MT50, which is really dynamic and expressive due to linking its many curves in the design to the edges of the display of the Siemens MT50. This effect is then accentuated by the colour of the Siemens MT50, since the Siemens MT50 is divided into three colour patterns, a light-grey border of its body, a black surface and again a light-grey border of the display.
The cover of the Siemens MT50 is exchangeable in addition to that the Siemens MT50 is quiet small with dimensions of 10x3,5x2 cm and only weighs about 97g.
Glimmering in a unique, trendy blue colour, the display evokes an especially impressive, slightly futuristic effect of the Siemens MT50. The display of the Siemens MT50 is of an ideal size of five lines, however the keys of the Siemens MT50 are kinda miscarried. They are fret so very fast, which can not be entirely excused. What makes this fact even more dramatic is that replacing the keypad of the Siemens MT50 is not all too easy and cheap. Sad, but true..
But then again the ease of use of the Siemens MT50 is quite fair. The structure of the menu and its outline are to be accounted for that fact. It really is kinda hard to screw up operating the Siemens MT50, if so, then one must be quiet slow-witted!
The technical data comprises exactly all that what I was looking for, the lithium-ion-battery of the Siemens MT50 is a vibratory alert and has a stand-by time of up to 260 hours or a talk time of six hours.
Moreover the telephone book of the Siemens MT50 holds a maximum of 250 entries, whereas all its entries can be arranges group-wise. The messaging function of the Siemens MT50 is assisted by the T9 predictive text and a message can hold up to 760 characters. An EMS-functions enables the Siemens MT50 to send and receive pictures and in addition to that 35 messages can be saved on the Siemens MT50. I this memory capacity if not sufficient, messages can still be transferred to an archive with holds up to 200 entries.
Several useful functions can be found with the organizer of the Siemens MT50, such as a calendar, an alarm clock, a notepad and much more. Like almost every other modern mobile phone, the Siemens MT is as well w@p-capable, so data from the net can be directly transferred to the Siemens MT50.
Using this internet function is however quiet difficult. Still you can download ringing tones from the net and add them to the 20 already installed melodies of the Siemens MT50. The same procedure is applicable for games and screensavers with the Siemens MT50.
The reception quality of the Siemens MT50 has never been a problem, even in the most unexpected situations I did have an appropriate signal with the Siemens MT50. The sound quality is quiet satisfying as well, one can always be well understood without having any weird noises in the line.
The Siemens MT50 has an interesting design, is small and handy and at last convinces with a very good quality. That the Siemens MT50 in addition to that does not cost all too much makes it even more likeable, allowing to conclude that the Siemens MT50 is the perfect solution for everybody who's seeking a reliable, well-performing, up-to-date mobile with a good design for little money.
