Test report and technical data Siemens S45
The greatest fear of other mobiles, the Siemens S45!
Good: big display, good battery, value for money
Bad: thin-skinned cover
There might be only very few people out there who got the Siemens S45 the same way I did. It sure does need some luck to get a Siemens S45 for free like I have, I won the Siemens S45 in a lottery. I take that as a sign of fate and ever since that point I proclaim myself predestined for the Siemens S45.
A destiny I can well live with...
When I held the Siemens S45 in my hands for the very first time I must have been quite taken with the design of the Siemens S45, as my friends later reported. Innately I already enthuse myself for the mobile phone industry but that I would once explicitly call the Siemens S45 all mine, was quite cryptically indeed.
The Siemens S45 glittered in a wonderful silver colour when I finally opened the box at home at I was very surprised how small the Siemens S45 is. The Siemens S45 has dimensions of 109x46x20 mm only and when I took the Siemens S45 out of its box and revived it by inserting its battery, I realized how very light it is, the Siemens S45 merely weighs 93 g. In consequence of its wonderful silver colouring, the Siemens S45 looks very noble and since the Siemens S45 is nicely rounded off on all its edges it even looks very modern. Sadly the surface of the Siemens S45 is very sensitive and is therefore easily affected by scratches, so look out for the Siemens S45, should you own it!
The screen of the Siemens S45 covers seven lines and when switching on the Siemens S45 the screen glimmers in a yellow colour. Same as the rest of the body of the Siemens S45, the keys of the Siemens are as well of silver colour and furthermore they have a good size for accessing every key easily. Over and above the common digit keys, the Siemens S45 is equipped with a navigation key and several quicklink buttons, which are both very essential for operating the Siemens S45.
The ease of use of the Siemens S45 is based on the above mentioned keys, since only they enable the user to access the Siemens S45 in a very simple way. Operating the Siemens S45 is quickly learned since logically structured options guide the user through the menu. It is always very evident which step to take next if wanting to activate the different functions of the Siemens S45. The Siemens S45 is indeed very 'harmless', one does not need to fear nasty surprises when operating the Siemens S45. Shall someone not be able to cope the Siemens S45, then there's still the user manual which can help.
Having once found his/her way through the menu of the Siemens S45 the gate is open to all the nice technical features of the Siemens S45. The Siemens S45 seriously has to be conquered since it comprises so very many nice features, it will take you a while to check out all of them.
The lithium-ion-battery of the Siemens S45 is a vibratory alert and it's quiet long-living. The battery of the Siemens S45 has a stand-by time of about 300 hours and one can talk with the Siemens S45 for about six hours before it gives up.
Only being a Dual Band mobile phone is not as progressive about the Siemens S45 as all its other features. As long as you stay on European grounds you won't realize that the Siemens S45 is no Tri Band, yet for jet-setters this might be of quiet some damage. Furthermore the Siemens S45 possesses an integrated organizer which features a calendar, planner, alarm clock, a calculator and many, many more business functions.
The messaging function of the Siemens S45 is very appraisable, since a message can comprise up to 760 characters. When writing messages with such a length a T9 text input software does come in handy. You may as well send pictures and melodies with the Siemens S45 and there is as well an archive on the Siemens S45 that can save sent and received messages to an enormous extent.
The telephone book function of the Siemens S45 is very well developed for it can hold up to 500 entries in addition to the memory capacity of the SIM-card. No worries anymore about not being able to save enough numbers on your mobile! You can also access the entries of the Siemens S45 as via voicedialing and special entries can be given a VIP-status.
The choice of ringer tones is quiet diversified since there are 38 melodies which can be chosen from. If you however do not like any of those melodies, you can still compose them yourself or download them from the net. Whosoever wants to be entertained by his/her Siemens S45 will be quite happy with it, since there are as well some games to be found on the Siemens S45 and in addition to that one can access the internet with the Siemens S45. In order to cope that function, the Siemens S45 possesses an up-to-date w@p-browser which has a quiet good transfer rate.
The sound quality of the Siemens S45 is just brilliant, the sound in the Siemens S45 circuit is totally clear and free of unwanted noises.
However, being able to hear a thing in the circuit, one needs to have an appropriate connection. The reception quality of the Siemens S45 does a good job, one always has a good connection with the Siemens S45 even in situations where you will least expect it.
An acclamation to the Siemens S45 for its performance!
Even though I got my Siemens S45 more or less unplanned I would be quiet unhappy from my today's point of view, if things hadn't come the way they did. The Siemens S45 is my personal favourite of all mobile phones, which functions to my utmost satisfaction. That I got the Siemens S45 all for free sure is a small bonus but the Siemens S45 does convince me more due to its quality, features and unique performance.
