Test report and technical data Philips Fisio 311
Cheap stuff or just a bargain? Philips Fisio 311...
Plus of the Philips Fisio 311: w@p-browser, voice dial command
Minus of the Philips Fisio 311: keypad, antenna
My choice for the Philips Fisio 311 wasn't usual. I have to admit I have a teli, a radio and different other technical consoles made by Philips, thus I really seem to trust their quality. That's why I asked myself why not the Philips Fisio 311?
My impression after three months of experience:
The Philips Fisio 311 looks very attractive at the first glance: the Philips Fisio 311 measures 125,5 x 48 x 25 millimeter and weighs 115 gram only. It goes perfectly with my style, lying ideally in the pocket of my pants as well as in the palm in my hands.
An Nickel-Hydrate battery allows talking with the Philips Fisio 311 for about 5 hours and the standby time regularly lasts up to at least 400 hours, which is a fantastic result for such a unimposing piece like the Philips Fisio 311.
The five-lined display does not have a high resolution but it is quite well readable and bloomed. The background light could be better.
The w@p-browser of the Philips Fisio 311 is well-integrated and easy to use. If it wasn't for the irritating display, surfing with the Philips Fisio 311 would be perfect.
In addition to the w@p-browser the Philips Fisio 311 features a voice dial command, which merely works properly in silent areas. A little background noise will destroy the functionality of this feature of the Philips Fisio 311.
By the way, if it works, the Philips Fisio 311 connects you to the other line by pressing one button only and mentioning the name of the phone book entry, of course in seconds. (Very handy idea which however functions differently in reality!).
Furthermore the Philips Fisio 311 alerts via vibracall. I think this function could work better: first of all it's very weak (you need to be really sensitive in your pants!) and second of all the vibra costs a lot of battery.
A few ringer tones are already preinstalled on the Philips Fisio 311, downloading additional one isn't for free.
However, the Philips Fisio 311 comes with T9- text input. Altogether the sms features are very practical and the synchronization with your communication partner runs frictionless in every aspects.
You shouldn't expect to much from the Philips Fisio 311, since for example the sound quality isn't too progressive.
And also the reception level of the Philips Fisio 311 usually runs in the middle range in comparison to other models.
My expectations of the Philips Fisio 311 were much too high. Especially the fact that the Philips Fisio 311 isn't built properly and that its keys are quite tottery really did disappoint me .
My conclusion: Buy televisions only from Philips!
Sorry, Philips Fisio 311...
