Philips Ozeo 8a8: a spooky heavyweight for a fair price
Plus of the Philips Ozeo 8a8: design, features and appropriate price
Minus of the Philips Ozeo 8a8: NiMH-battery, weight
Hello there mobile-fans!
It was last year when a cute bunny gave me a very special present: the Philips Ozeo 8a8 in blue color! Finally a positive surprise! The Philips Ozeo 8a8 beats my old mobile phone, one of those dinosaur bones dating back to the first mobile generation; you know what I'm talking about!
The Philips Ozeo 8a8 is compatible for w@p which is unfortunately mentioned too explicitly on the display. However it is the well structured menu of the Philips Ozeo 8a8, which convinced so very much: with a scroll wheel on the left hand side of the Philips Ozeo 8a8 you are able to choose between all the features. I considered operating the Philips Ozeo 8a8 really easy. By scrolling the little wheel on the Philips Ozeo 8a8, you can directly access the telephone book. If you want to activate an entry, you simply have to push the scroll wheel of the Philips Ozeo 8a8. Scrolling upwards, you will reach the last dialed numbers.
By pressing the scroll button, the main menu will appear on the display of the Philips Ozeo 8a8. In there you will find an organizer, in which I marked my next appointments immediately. I only want to add, that the ease-of-use of the organizer really is exemplary. The standby-time on the Philips Ozeo 8a8 adds up to 300 hours, according to the user manual. However I haven't set a timer yet to prove that fact.
The talking time of the Philips Ozeo 8a8 adds up to five hours which I could authenticate, since I gave my darling a really long phone call on Easter Sunday, the day I got the Philips Ozeo 8a8, and we talked for hours. With its dimensions of 114 x 51x 24x mm the Philips Ozeo 8a8 is small enough to be carried around easily, however it is still heavy enough not to be lost without realizing: the Philips Ozeo 8a8 weighs 128 gram.
A very fat plus of the Philips Ozeo 8a8, which I appreciate a lot, is its quality. The Philips Ozeo 8a8 is so robust that it is quite hard to break it in two.
The hidden advantage of the Philips Ozeo 8a8 shows by night time: the display of the Philips Ozeo 8a8 flashes up in a blue color, bright enough to find the buttons easily, even when it's totally dark.
The Philips Ozeo 8a8 comes with DTMF, which makes it possible to connect your answering machine at home with the Philips Ozeo 8a8 without any trouble. Installing a call diversion on the Philips Ozeo 8a8 is possible as well. In addition to that the Philips Ozeo 8a8 offers of quick dial buttons and hotkeys which can also store the number of your answer machine.
By the way, the sound quality on the Philips Ozeo 8a8 is amazing; it fulfills all my expectations of a mobile phone. There is a melody composer integrated in the Philips Ozeo 8a8 which allows you to experiment with the differently fixed ringer tones. Over and above that you can download additional ringer tones via the browser of the Philips Ozeo 8a8.
I especially like the optics of the Philips Ozeo 8a8 very much.
All in all I really couldn't find any greater disadvantage about the Philips Ozeo 8a8. The instruction manual of the Philips Ozeo 8a8 is comprehensible for technical layperson like me, I'm happy with my 'Easter egg'. The Philips Ozeo 8a8 is a nice stylish mobile phone without any big deficits.
