Test report and technical data Sagem MC 922
Sagem MC 922 - A fantastic mobile!
Plus of the Sagem MC 922: lots, the features in general
Minus of the Sagem MC 922: heavyweight
I will present you my new hunny-bunny, the Sagem MC 922. As I belong to the group of people who rarely use their mobiles, I went for a prepaid-phone.
With its rounded shape the Sagem MC 922 appears very modern. But with 117 g the Sagem MC 922 is not really the lightest model on the mobile phone market (but I don't care about that). The antenna on the Sagem MC 922 is sticking out about 2,5 cm is annoying me a little bit, but I can live with it. The display of the Sagem MC 922 is four lined. All in all the Sagem MC 922 gives the impression of a very robust device. I can only say that the Sagem MC 922 already survived a few falls.
The menu of the Sagem MC 922 is very well-structured and easy to understand also for a layperson like me. By pressing the number-keys you're able to reach the subdirectories of the menu of the Sagem MC 922 directly, which is a lot faster than the normal way. Three so called one-touch-buttons on the Sagem MC 922 are programmable for different functions like phone book, reading SMS or standby mode.
The instructions manual of the Sagem MC 922 is quite comprehensible.
The Sagem MC 922 neither comes with games nor with a w@p-browser. I didn't miss both yet, but you out there should think about these disadvantage of the lovely the Sagem MC 922 before buying.
I got myself the Sagem MC 922 just for calling. I find the phone book of the Sagem MC 922 very user-friendly, especially in comparison to the Siemens a friend of mine has. You can store up to 40 numbers on the phone book memory and another 100 numbers on the SIM-card. The Sagem MC 922 allows you to store 20 SMS in its memory.
I'm using the calculator and also the currency calculator quite often, which is great to have in such a little thing like the Sagem Mc 922. I also find the hands-free function of the Sagem MC 922 very helpful, for example when I'm behind the steering wheel. The Sagem MC 922 features the T9 typing assistance, too. I know it's standard now but I appreciate this function on the Sagem MC 922 a lot, it makes writing SMS so much easier.
By the way, the vibratory alarm that the Sagem MC 922 naturally comes with, I usually switch on only if don't want to be disturbed by the ringer tones. It's a real advantage of the Sagem MC 922 that it comes with a choice of 40 different ringer melodies, which sound amazing.
The Sagem MC 922 is equipped by a NiMH battery, which means that the Sagem MC 922 averagely lasts for up to 140 hours on stand-by and up to about 3,5 hours of talk time. These figures are more than satisfying in my opinion, respectively in relation to my expectations. One drawback with the battery that a friend who's owning a Sagem MC 922 too, told me: Avoid complete discharging of the battery, or else the Sagem MC 922 will never wake up again unless you put a new battery in, and that too only if you are lucky (then he said: try Li-ion instead of NiMH).
With the reception quality I never had trouble at all. The Sagem MC 922 has a connection everywhere I go, and when there are - in case - irregularities, it's because of the network system and not the Sagem Mc 922, for sure.
I can really recommend the Sagem MC 922 to everybody out there who doesn't need games and w@p fun. The Sagem McC 922 is a loyal companion with lots of helpful features.
