Test report and technical data Sagem MW 932
Sagem MW 932 - Who needs it?
Positive about the Sagem MW 932: featherweight, ease-of-use, W@p-browser
Negative about the Sagem MW 932: Display too small
My friend had a great idea: she bought me the Sagem MW 932 as a present. Why? Did she really want to please me in doing so? The only good thing about the Sagem MW 932: if I don't want to be reachable for anybody I can say - without lying - the Sagem MW 932 doesn't work at all.
I can't tell her that I don't like the Sagem MW 932; she wouldn't talk to me anymore.
The Sagem MW 932 is, in spite of all criticism, a dual-band phone. Since I leave the Sagem MW 932 at home most of the time that function helps me a lot... I think it's great that the Sagem MW 932 is compatible with both frequencies. Anyway, the Sagem MW 932 is a phase-out model, who cares...
The Sagem MW 932 weighs about 117 g, not slim at all but small enough for my make-up bag (dimensions of 116 x 45 x 18 mm could be to much for men's pockets, unfortunately I have no experience in that field). The design of the Sagem MW 932 is quite funny. Rubber keys are user-friendly, for sure, but all in all the Sagem MW 932 gives you the impression of an absolutely wobbly device. The yolk of a soft-boiled egg is more firm than the keypad of the Sagem MW 932.
The navigation through the menu of the Sagem MW 932 is very easy, understandable also for a layperson like me. Due to the well-structured menu points you can't get lost in there. Scrolling through the menu is easier due to a special 'Up/down' button on the Sagem MW 932. The Sagem MW 932 comes with two 'flash dial' keys, which are reserved for the most used functions.
Furthermore the Sagem MW 932 features an integrated modem, respectively W@p-browser, which is to be activated by the W@p-button.
The Sagem MW 932 is equipped with a Li-ion battery which lasts for up to 165 hours on standby and up to about three hours of talking.
These are results under ideal circumstances, of course. Because I made the experience that it's almost impossible to always have reception on the Sagem MW 932. If the reception quality is bad the Sagem MW 932 is continuously searching, which will drain the battery in a short time.
The voice and sound quality of the Sagem MW 932 are astonishingly good in my opinion. I didn't expect that with the Sagem MW 932 you would hear a dog barking in the background of your call partner.
Unfortunately the Sagem MW 932 has a few niggles, I have to admit it's not the hottest of mobile phones. The Sagem MW 932 switches off by itself when it's fed up with me. The problem must be a loose contact to the battery I think. As the user of the Sagem MW 932 you have to know how to help yourself in those cases.
But you won't be able to do something about the fact that the Sagem MW 932 works very slowly as soon as the memory for SMS etc. is full.
The Sagem MW 932 is not expensive, but it comes with a lot of features........and with a few annoying faults, too.
To be very honest, I wouldn't recommend the Sagem MW 932 to you. Keep your hands off and save your money, you will have more luck with a different model than the Sagem MW 932.
