My boss put a Sagem MY X 5 at my disposal. Privately I use the Siemens C35i, and I must admit that I don't use it very often anymore, because I’m totally thrilled by the Sagem MY X 5.
The design of the Sagem MY X 5 is plain and simple. This makes the Sagem MY X 5 appear very elegant. Sometimes less is more. The Sagem MY X 5 is sold in silver; however the front case of the Sagem MY X 5 is exchangeable. With a weight of 92 g (incl. battery) and the dimensions 105 x 46 x 20 mm the Sagem MY X 5 is very handy, almost cuddly.
The color display of the Sagem MY X 5 offers 256 colors at a resolution of 101 x 80 pixels and 8 lines, big enough I think.
I did look through the manual to see what the Sagem MY X 5 can do. However, I learned how to handle the Sagem MY X 5 without instructions, since the menu of the Sagem MY X 5 is well-structured and concise. You playfully learn how to navigate through the menu of the Sagem MY X 5.
The Sagem MY X 5 is equipped with a Li-ion battery (729 mAh) with a talk time of 4 hours and a standby time of 240 hours.
The memory for melodies and pictures of the Sagem MY X 5 is 400 KB big. Not much, but it will do.
Furthermore the Sagem MY X 5 features basic functions like WAP-browser, EMS, GPRS, infrared-interface, vibratory alarm, integrated hands-free option, T9, games, calculator...
There's nothing negative to say about the Sagem MY X 5, except that you can't send MMS with it. But you can't expect that for that price.
With the Sagem MY X 5 the manufacturer Sagem finally managed to build a high-quality mobile phone. Nevertheless they will have a hard time - even with the Sagem MY X 5 - because Sagem already damaged its reputation with rubbishy models.
But I can really recommend the Sagem MY X 5, unlike its predecessors.
