Test report and technical data Samsung SGH 600
Samsung SGH 600 - The lil' strong one!
Positive about the Samsung SGH 600: small and many features, lithium-ion battery, scratch resistant display
Negative about the Samsung SGH 600: no TriBand
I would want to talk about the Samsung SGH 600 today, which currently lies right next to me on the table. I need to be honest, the Samsung SGH 600 is not mine, a friend of mine lent me the Samsung SGH 600. After having tested the Samsung SGH 600 by checking out all the functions of the Samsung SGH 600, I can only say: The Samsung SGH 600 is a remarkable mobile!!
Let's get started with the design of the Samsung SGH 600:
The Samsung SGH 600 barely weighs a thing with its 95 g only, despite of having dimensions of 108 x 44 x 15 mm. U can get the Samsung SGH 600 either in the color black of silver. My friend went for the silver Samsung SGH 600, since it just looks more noble.
Although being quite huge, the screen of the Samsung SGH 600 is concise enough. Nice about the display of the Samsung SGH 600 ist scratch resistant!
In order to protect the keypad of the Samsung SGH 600, the Samsung SGH 600 is equipped with a flap. This flap is a so called "active flap", since u can as well pick up incoming phone calls by opening the flap of the Samsung SGH 600.
Now something on the ease of use of the Samsung SGH 600:
Operating the Samsung SGH 600 is of no problem at all. The menu of the Samsung SGH 600 is logically structured and clearly outlined. Most of the functions of the Samsung SGH 600 are easily understood, after spending half an hour with the Samsung SGH 600. If a look in the user manual is inevitable, the manual sure is of quite some help.
What can u do with the Samsung SGH 600?
The Samsung SGH 600 features all those functions, which are expected from a mobile of our generation. Standard functions such as vibratory alert, voice-dialling, dictaphone, date, time and data- / fax-modem are of course covered by the Samsung SGH 600. Regrettably the Samsung SGH 600 does neither feature an IrDa - interface nor the T9-Software. Another blemish of the Samsung SGH 600 is that the Samsung SGH 600 merely is a DualBand mobile.
What about the reception- and sound- quality of the Samsung SGH 600?
I can only say: ideal!! I have never faced any problems with the reception quality of the Samsung SGH 600, neither at home, nor abroad. The acoustics of the Samsung SGH 600 are just as good.
And the battery of the Samsung SGH 600?
The Samsung SGH 600 ist equipped with a lithium-ion battery which has a stand-by time of 80 hours only, yet a talk time of 3,5 hours. Not all too good, I have to recharge the Samsung SGH 600 every three days but I can live with that.
Conclusion:
The Samsung SGH 600 is a really nice device, which covers a lot of well-functioning features. Chronical software-problems, as Nokia-users know them, never happened with the Samsung SGH 600. The value for money of the Samsung SGH 600 is a really good deal.
If u don't travel to the States on regual bases even the fact that the Samsung SGH 600 only is a DualBand mobile shouldn't be all too bad either.
