Test report and technical data Samsung SGH T100
The Samsung SGH T100
Plus of the Samsung SGH T100: scope of supply, display of the Samsung SGH T100
Minus of the Samsung SGH T100: no digicam, no MMS with the Samsung SGH T100
Even though the Samsung SGH T100 doesn't have a digicam or features like EMS or MMS it satisfies with classic Samsung highlights: display quality, TFTs and choice of pictures and sounds, design (except for the unattractive antenna of the Samsung SGH T100). All of them technological and innovative advantages of the Samsung SGH T100 that are even worth getting laughed at by my friends
Like anybody cruising the Samsung SGH T100 will soon notice, the Samsung SGH T100 doesn't fall short with extras (unwrapping the provided software, fun and equipment package holds some surprises!).
From a headset to an additional battery, a bunch of cables for data-transfer with e.g. a notebook , everything is provided with the Samsung SGH T100.
What disappointed me about the Samsung SGH T100 is the cumbersome handling of the keypad of the Samsung SGH T100; it feels great but it's also responsible for a bunch of typos in my SMS. I clearly have to state the narrowly arranged and small keys as a drawback of the Samsung SGH T100.
The display of the Samsung SGH T100 on the other hand is wonderful to read due to the high resolution. And I caught on to navigating the menu just as easily, because of the clear structure in menus and sub-menus.
I should mention a small but important detail of the display of the Samsung SGH T100: just like the luxury of self-composed melodies and group ringer tones the variable color-depth of the screen is absolutly stunning!
Concerning quality of sound and reception the Samsung SGH T100 is unbeatable.
Another characteristic of the Samsung SGH T100 that shouldn’t be underestimated: the flap of the Samsung SGH T100 and the protruding antenna give the reassuring feeling of always being reachable by the rest of the world, finding the best paths and competing with the 'Star Trek' boys....
If there wasn't the crux of the Samsung SGH T100, which really could eliminate any intentions: the Samsung SGH T100 really has an embarrassing battery performance. It looks like this in detail: I'm going to the country for the weekend - with the Samsung SGH T100 of course - the connection is suddenly cut off and a dangerously flashy 'Battery low!' appears on the display. And before I realize that I forgot the extra battery at home I’m already getting kicked out of the line.
The hand phone salesman said that a lifespan of 110 hours between charging was normal for the Samsung SGH T100, and that he knew -from secret sources - that Nokia and Ericcson were in that field (but in that field only!) better than Samsung.
Sad actually, but maybe I’m just too strict with the Samsung SGH T100 and you should get it anyway!
A final overview of the cosmic abilities of the Samsung SGH T100:
Features of the Samsung SGH T100:
-various LED colors (the LED is on the outside of the Samsung SGH T100 and is a readiness indicator)
-1,8 inch TFT-display 4096 colors + an external display with blue illumination
- WAP
- 500 numbers phone book in the Samsung SGH T100
- Polyphonic ringer tones (16 tones)
