Positive about the Sonyericsson T300: digi cam, good battery
Negative about the Sonyericsson T200: shaky battery, unwieldy keypad
It always used to be SonyEricsson who was a step ahead in terms of MMS. Now SonyEricsson even seems to try to prove, that multimedia mobiles are nothing special anymore and therefore mustn't be all too pricey. The prime example for this seems to be the SonyEricsson T300.
The SonyEricsson T300 sees about a great fun-character since the covers of the SonyEricsson T300 are exchangeable. However, striking is that the SonyEricsson T300 looks more robust than what we are used to from its predecessor, the T68. The SonyEricsson T300 has dimensions of 107 x 48 x 22 mm and a weight of 102 g. With those dimensions and that kind of weight the SonyEricsson T300 doesn't really prove that multimedia mobiles can be small and handy too...
The colour-display of the SonyEricsson T300 with a size of 33 x 26 mm is then again quite surprising, yet the display of the SonyEricsson T300 can only show 256 different colours, thus it ain't really a colour-display if compared to displays with 65.000 colours... The resolution of 80 x 101 of the SonyEricsson T300 isn't too good either. Thus asking the question, how pictures taken with the built-in camera of the SonyEricsson T300 are to be properly displayed, is completely justified.
The battery of the SonyEricsson T300 however has a great performance, we can't have everything, can we? But with a stand-by time of 350 hours and a talk time of 7,5 (!) hours, the SonyEricsson T300 does balance one or another deficit.
Operating the SonyEricsson T300 is made very easy due to the joystick key that guides u through the menu.
Sadly the keypad of the SonyEricsson T300 is a bit unwieldy, u do need to come up with a greater power-input in order to click a key of the SonyEricsson T300. Fast typing with the SonyEricsson T300 is a challenge indeed.
The accent of the extensive functions of the SonyEricsson T300 is clearly put on the fun-features of the SonyEricsson T300. U can download numerous games and polyphonic ringer tones for the SonyEricsson T300 via WAP. An extensive organizer is of course as well integrated in the SonyEricsson T300.
The total highlight of the SonyEricsson T300, it's camera function! Pictures are taken so very easy with the pluggable camera of the SonyEricsson T300. These pics can be saved on the SonyEricsson T300. Pictures can be sent to friends, families and foes via the data transferring functions of the SonyEricsson T300, let it be IrDA, e-mail or MMS. To supply the data transfer with a lot of speed, the SonyEricsson T300 is equipped with GPRS.
The sound quality of the SonyEricsson T300 is average. Let's say I haven't made any bad experience, but nothing really overwhelming about that has stroke me either.
If u can slur over the few deficits of the SonyEricsson T300, quite a good conclusion can be drawn from the SonyEricsson T300. The SonyEricsson T300 sure is no masterpiece among the mobile world, however it has a low price and it does offer some multimedia fun. With the SonyEricsson T300 SonyEricsson did prove that multimedia mobiles can be cheaper indeed, however only then, if the functions are clearly limited.
