Cons of Motorola Startac 130: Using it is slightly complicated
I purchased Motorola Startac 130 last year for several reasons. First of all, I really liked the design that reminds me so much of Star Trek. Thus, old memories come back to life. Not that I am that old and melancholic yet, but whenever I use Motorola Startac 130 I feel a little younger and ready to dive into my world of imagination.
Do not think I bought Motorola Startac 130 for sentimental reasons, though. My main motive was mobile communication, of course, making and receiving phone calls where and when I want.
Also of importance are Motorola Startac 130's many special features.
Although you can send and receive e-mails, I do not find this function sufficient at all. Also, handling Motorola Startac 130 is a little difficult and the instruction manual is not so easy understood.
Still, I can recommend Motorola Startac 130, but one should make certain the device does not have a low serial number: These are the older models, and they are heavier. Mobiles are simply less fun when they are heavy.
One tip concerning Motorola Startac 130's battery:
The battery must be completely empty before it can be charged again; otherwise the so called memory effect might occur that damages the battery's durability.
Another reason that led me to purchase Motorola Startac 130 is that it does not feature one of these annoying, not solid flaps. Instead, it folds up in the middle, just like a futuristic communication device from my favorite TV show.
One can answer a call either by unfolding Motorola Startac 130 or by pushing a key. The choice is yours, it is manually adjustable.
For me as a trekkie its design influenced my decision to buy Motorola Startac 130 the most. I feel almost like part of the series when I 'pull' my phone on the street.
I would not choose another mobile for myself.
