Test report and technical data Motorola Timeport P7389E
The first global W@P device - Motorola Timeport P7389e
Pros of Motorola Timeport P7389e: TriBand device, W@P browser, chip card slot for e-commerce
Con of Motorola Timeport P7389e: weak battery
Just before the new millennium, Motorola, who is known for its progressive developments in the field of mobile communication, announced the launching of the first global e-commerce phone in the world: Motorola Timeport P7389e was said to be an all-rounder with worldwide reception to support worldwide business.
In order to fulfill these expectations, Motorola Timeport P7389e features a number of new functions. Eye catching is especially Motorola Timeport P7389e's internet feature with its W@P browser. One can also find a chip card slot integrated in Motorola Timeport P7389e that supports mobile e-commerce.
Furthermore, Motorola Timeport P7389e is the first mobile to be equipped with the text construction software iTAP that assists the messaging function of Motorola Timeport P7389e.
Other nice features of Motorola Timeport P7389e are its vibratory alert and the infra red interface and another interface for the dubbing software True Sync. This software allows the transfer of data from Motorola Timeport P7389e to one's PC.
Fortunately, all these new features do not add to the weight of Motorola Timeport P7389e: it weighs 124 g and has got rather small dimensions.
The efficiency of Motorola Timeport P7389e's battery is sufficient, too. It will last about 150 hours in stand - by mode and provides a talking time of 210 minutes.
In spite of all these new features, Motorola Timeport P7389e leaves room for improvement. I do not have any complaints about its functionality, but I doubt that Motorola Timeport P7389e's internet and e-commerce features can be used reasonably.
