Test report and technical data Motorola V295
Motorola V295: Style, finesse and matter
Pros of Motorola V295: integrated DigiCam, java technology, MMS, low price
Cons of Motorola V295: DualBand
Motorola is famous for its highly developed V-series, which is usually rather expensive. So models of the V-series were almost like small status symbols. Now it is time for a change: With Motorola V295!
Without cutting back on its features, the manufacturer wants to sell Motorola V295 comparatively low-priced. Motorola V295 is a device designed exclusively for the Asian market; so do not even start looking for Motorola V295 in old-fashioned Europe, but go to Singapore or Beijing.
Motorola V295 exhibits a flap and a classy color screen. Since it features a DigiCam, Motorola V295 makes MMS possible. Motorola V295's java technology supports the download of applications, games and sound effects. Getting all these features for little money is Motorola V295's biggest advantage.
One can use Motorola V295's DigiCam to spice up one's phone book: Pictures can be added to single entries. With Motorola V295, one will never again end up in an amazing moment that cannot be saved forever since there was no room for the camera in one's pocket!
Motorola V295 leaves no room for boredom; a number of entertainment features prevent this. There is a big number of games on Motorola V295, for instance, and in case one still wants more, one can use java technology featured by Motorola V295 to download new games from the internet.
Furthermore, Motorola V295 provides polyphone ringing tones, MMS and GPRS.
Yet, Motorola V295 also has disadvantages. Only being a DualBand device, Motorola V295 cannot be used worldwide. Motorola V295 will be useless in the USA, for example. But I guess you can say that a mobile made for the Asian market does not necessarily have to work in the U.S. in the first place. However, TriBand would have been more adequate.
Whenever I fly to Asia, I will check out Motorola V295 more closely. I am curious, whether I will still be as convinced of Motorola V295 as I am now.
