Test report and technical data Motorola V60i
Motorola V60i - Take it or leave it!
Motorola V60i is a matter of taste, although it seems to be great at first sight.
Pros of Motorola V60i: design, Tri Band device
Cons of Motorola V60i: poorly arranged menu
After being a Nokia user for too long, I eventually decided to go for Motorola V60i. It is a noble looking, silver mobile.
I was a little disappointed that Motorola V60i does not come with any equipment other than its charger and scary, since enormous, instruction manual. No bag, no hands free talking device... Maybe the bad American economy is the reason for Motorola's thrift.
One more thing about the manual: Apparently the Motorola people knew what they were doing when they created a brochure of this size concerning Motorola V60i. The handling of Motorola V60i's menu is not as easy as it could be.
My advice to Motorola: "Sometimes less is more!"
Why would I want submenus' submenus, when they cannot even be viewed clearly on Motorola V60i's screen in the first place? Of course it is nice to be capable of saving 1000 numbers in Motorola V60i's phone book, but then I do not know that many people.
I also did not like Motorola V60i's rather long antenna, so I got rid of it right in the beginning. I had a miniature antenna manufactured especially for my needs.
Motorola V60i is great to show off, since it looks quite exclusively. With its dimensions of 85 x 45 x 24 mm and a weight of 109 g Motorola V60i fits perfectly in any pocket. The display of Motorola V60i is well protected by a flap.
One feature I really like is the zoom function of Motorola V60i. Not so great though is Motorola V60i's iTAP function that rather slows you down than speeds you up. Of course, Motorola V60i's newly created words can be lots of fun, too. Regarding this difficulty and the arrangement of the menu, Nokia beats Motorola V60i by far!
Motorola V60i's menu can be made clearer by a quick menu that is to be arranged individually, which is, in combination with a note book, awesome.
Since Motorola V60i is a Tri Band device, one can use it pretty much all over the world. GPRS accelerates the internet access. The reception with Motorola V60i is about average. Some noise in the line is a flaw of most cell phones.
As mentioned above, one can save up to 1000 numbers in Motorola V60i's phone book that can also be marked with different symbols. I would recommend purchasing the data kit along with Motorola V60i, though, so one can dub one's data to the PC via UBS.
Motorola V60i features many ringing tones. In case one is still not satisfied, one can also compose one's own melodies or download them from the net.
The battery of Motorola V60i is of mediocre quality. It will last five to seven days for me.
Of course, Motorola V60i features more than what I have stated so far. There are an alarm function, a calculator, a currency calculator and several games.
Overall, Motorola V60i is a device of average quality - once one understands the complicated menu, that is. Still I can recommend Motorola V60i, since I do not think that there is a mobile phone without little flaws on the market.
I hope I could inform you sufficiently about Motorola V60i. Maybe you even want more information and click in again...
