i've had this same problem as well on my phone. You may want to try this as it worked for me:
from your phone, navigate to C:\system\Data\midp2\systemams\
In there you should see a couple of files. Delete these files and then restart your phone. What should happen is the phone will then replace these files you just delelted from its ROM and all should work good...
i tried this because i didnt want to format my phone as i had a lot of applications installed, etc etc...
doing this will re-enable your java apps and get rid of the error. you should be now be able to run, install and un-install java apps without any problems
even if this doesn't work for you, the format option will work anyway so you got nothing to lose in trying it.
