Bei McAffee keine Updates erreichbar

Yo, also ich hab McAffee und zwar original. Nun kriege ich keine Updates, ich klick da auf Updates und dann soll ich Spamkiller aktualisieren oder auch mal den virus scan, funktioniert aber irgendwie beides nicht, ich muss das immer wieder machen, und automatisch lädt der auch nix runter....obwohl er es laut einstellung müsste. ich krieg hier die krise, und würde mich über hilfe extrem freuen.

Das kann vieles sein. Als erstes würde ich mal den Support von denen anrufen und das Problem schildern.
Eventuell haben die ja auch ne FAQ auf Ihrer Seite mit den meisten Problemen. Da könnte schon einiges interessantes drin sein.
Wenn das nichts hilft, wäre es hilfreich zu wissen welche Version du hast.

Den Support rufe ich so spät nicht mehr an. die faq hilft nicht. ich habe 2005 version 9.0...

Ich hab mich mal in einem Englich sprachigen Newsforum umgehört und da wurde das Problem auf einen ISP geschoben.
XP oder SP2 sind nicht schuld daran.
es hat dort jemand mit dem gleichen Notebook ein Updateversuch über seine Leitung und dann über einen Wireles Lan Knotenpunkt versucht.
Letzteres hatte funktioniert.
Also könnte es auch an Deinem ISP liegen?

Weitere Tipps waren folgende:

If that doesn't get it doen, then
Click on the Sun Java download site below. Once there, click on the "Download J2SE JRE" link beneath the "J2SE v 1.4.2_06 JRE includes the JVM technology" section and proceed through the windows to download the "Windows Offline" installer file. Once it's on your desktop, shut down all background programs, then double click on the file to install it.

"If the above steps don't get it done, then the sites have probably been added to a HOSTS file or some other site blocking program on the computer".

Bei meinem Vater und meiner Schwester geht das ganze wunderbar, wir hängen alle hinter einen router. isp ist congster, also die tochterfirma von t-online...

Also es gibt die manuelle Update Prozedur oder dei maschinelle.

Ich glaube Du mußt dir erst das Konto erstellen, bevor das mit dem maschinellen update funktioniert. Zumindest war es bei mir so.

Nachdem ich da ein Konto hatte, wurde ein einziges mal das neuste Update gezogen. Danach konnte ich es auch automatisch beziehen.

Versuch das mal.

Es war damals sogar egal was ich da eingegeben hatte. Hauptsache das Konto existierte. Danach wurde ich weitergeleitet...
