Test report and technical data Nokia 7110
The collective memory of mobile's world - Nokia 7110 !!!
Plus of Nokia 7110: Phonebook memory (1000 numbers!!!), multiple numbers per name, data transfer 14,400 bps, downloadable ringing tones and logos
Minus of Nokia 7110: no GPRS, no HSCSD, weight, no MMS, flap
Nokia 7110 seems to be the perfect mixture between well known basic functions and high tech:
Nokia 7110 doesn't display too many features, but the one its comes with are well done...
I was quite dissapionted when I saw Nokia 7110 for the first time because of its flap.
Nokia 7110 doesn't look high tech at all, but its inside of is amazing; especially the memory of Nokia 7110 is nearly unbelieveable: Up to 1000(!) numbers and names can be saved in Nokia 7110's phone book, and another 1000 numbers can be saved on the SIM-card. Also, you can add voice tags - meaning you just have to say a persons name and Nokia 7110 will dial their number for you.
Additional, you can save four numbers with one name, like somebody's office, home and mobile number. How cool's that?
Nokia 7110 doesn't come with Bluetooth or other postmodern stuff, its features are, as I said before, quite simple but solid: Nokia 7110 has got an internal modem and an infra red interface, which allows you to connect to somebody with an infra red interface as well. Thus you can interact with your friends, play games with them, for instance.
Unfortunatly it's not possible to send and receive image-messages with Nokia 7110 . And Nokia 7110 is also only a Dual Band device (ready for the frequences gsm 900/1800), which means its not possible to call a friend in Ohio with Nokia 7110.
Remarkable reception quality of Nokia 7110 is one reason more to buy it. I appreciated the fact very much that my calls weren't interrupted when I was driving through a tunnel. The battery of Nokia 7110 is very long lasting.
I can recommend Nokia 7110 to anyone who looks for a faithful escort.
However, Nokia 7110 needs sensitive and responsible handling.... but it'll pay you back for it.
