Ich hab es zwar noch nicht geschafft mit dem Proggie mein HAndy zu killen, aber richtig funktionieren tut es auch nicht...

du bist doch wohl selber schuld wenn du es testest dann ist es deine Schuld, hat dich ja nieand dazu gezwungen

Hi,hier im Board ist nochmal nen Thret dazu,da steht von leuten drinnen die das selbe Prob. mit dem Prog hatten,vll wirst du daraus schlau,einfach mal suchen!

Ist es nicht herrlich???? Hab soeben mit diesem schönen s.cheiss Programm mein 3650 zerstört! 4 mal nokia und dann aus... wer war der topic starter, wenn ich den sehe mach ich den kaputt!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dieses Thema will ich auch mal wieder vorgraben, weil ich auch an einer guten Vollversion interessiert bin. Gibt es da mittlerweile Fortschritte?

Ich habe bei einigen hier gelesen, dass sie das Prog im 3650_Bunker nicht finden. Ich war heute dort und schaut mal im upload-Ordner nach. Da ist es.

Dort steht nähmlich das die gerade an einer Version für den 3650 arbeiten.

Hab grad nach Talks gegoogelt und http://www.talx.de/ gefunden.

Nach dem, was die da schreiben, ist das Teil nur für den Commi entwickelt worden.

Das könnte erklären, warum es Probleme auf dem 36/7650 verursacht.

Oder steh ich da im Wald und es gibt noch ne andere Version???

also ich hab noch nix von ner vollversion gehört!

TALKS for Series 60 Betaa 2003-09-05
====================================


1. Installation
---------------

We recommend that you use a Nokia 3650 for this beta-release of
TALKS. This allows you to install TALKS to the MMC card, so it is easy
to get the phone back to work in case anything terrific should happen
(see troubleshooting). This is beta software, so we cannot guarantee,
that it will work without problems.

The Nokia PC Suite for the phone you have must have been installed and
be working prior to installing TALKS. Since Infrared connections are
easy to use, while Bluetooth requires a pairing process, we recommend
that you use infrared. You should not try to install Bluetooth, before
TALKS is working on your phone, unless you have sighted help!

To install TALKS, you first have to install the SpeechWorks*.sis file
for your language. If your language is not yet supported, first set
the phone's display language to English. You can do this from within
the Tools/Settings/Phone/General selection. After you have changed the
language, your phone will reboot and use the new language.

After the SpeechWorks*.sis file has been installed successfully, you
are ready to install the TALKS60_*.sis file. After the installation,
TAlKS should speak quite immediately.

IMPORTANT! When installing an update to the SpeechWorks*.sis file,
i.e. a new text-to-speech engine, first turn off TALKS by executing
the TALXOFF command in the main phone menu! This prevents TALKS from
trying to access the TTS engine while the new version is installed. No
special precaution is needed when just installing TALKS.

To register TALKS for the beta period, you have to call up the TALKS
Settings window, then call up the Options menu with softkey 1, and
select "Register". You will hear the IMEI number, and can enter the
serieal code that you can get from us when giving us your IMEI. This
will allow you to fully use TALKS free of charge until the beta period
is over. You can also display the IMEI number by entering *#06# inside
the Phone application.


2. Keypad Description
---------------------

The flat power on/off key is located at the top edge.

The left soft key, located at the edge directly under the display, is
called [Key 1]. The other software, located to the right of this key is
called [Key 2].

The round buttons below these keys are the [Call] key (left), and the
[End] key (right). The small round buttons below these keys are called
[Edit] (left) and [Back] (right).

The concave button in the middle of the keypad is a five-direction
key: [Left], [Right], [Up], [Down], and [Select].

The number keys start with [1], directly to the left of the concave
key, and they are arranged like a circle, with a knob on [5], and
ending with [0], immediately to the right of the concave key. This is
almost like a rotary phone.

On the inside of this circle, you can find[*] (left), [#] (right),
and [Menu] (at the bottom, above [5] and [6]).


3. TALKS Commands
-----------------

The [Edit] key is the [TALKS] key.

Functions:

[TALKS],[Key1] = Read function keys
[TALKS],[Key2] = Read status information
[TALKS],[CALL] = Re-read window
[TALKS],[EXIT] = Read time and date
[TALKS], [Back] = Disable/enable speech
[TALKS],[1] = Change key echo
[TALKS],[2] = Upper case announcement on/off
[TALKS],[3] = Phonetic spelling on/off
[TALKS],[4] = Change Punctuation announcement
[TALKS], [5]/[6] = Lower/Higher volume (not yet supported by
Eloquence)
[TALKS], [7]/[8] = Decrease/Increase speech rate
[TALKS],[0] = Toggle learning mode
[TALKS], [up] = Read current line or selected object
[TALKS], [Left] = Read word under cursor
[TALKS], [Right] = Read character under cursor
[TALKS], [Down] = Read text from cursor position until EOT
[TALKS],[Select] = Re-read recent utterance
[TALKS],[#] = Re-read previous utterance
[TALKS][*] = Call up the TALKS Settings dialogue.


4. Tips
-------

* Inside the Phone application, which is the first application loaded
when restarting the phone, the following short-cuts can be used:
+ [Key1],[*] in rapid sequence = Lock / Unlock keypad
+ [Key2] pressed long = Call by using a voice tag (silence speech
for best results)
+ [CALL] without a number entered = List of dialed numbers
+ [Select] = Contact application
+ [1], ..., [9] pressed long = call short-dial number
+ }0] pressed long = Call up WAP browser

Please note that the default meaning of the two softkeys right below
the display can be changed to call up any application. So, you can,
for instance, set [Key1] = Messaging, and [Key2] = Calendar, and
have very quick access to the most important applications by
pressing only one button.

* Short-cuts that work everywhere:
+ [End] = Go to Phone application
+ [Menu] pressed long = Call up task list

+ You can switch the menus from their default grid view to list view,
which is perhaps nicer for many of us. To do this, press [Key1]
(Options) inside the main phone menu, then select "List View".

* The [Select] key can be used to select menu items, and also usually
gives a smaller selection of the most important options, while
[Key1] often displays a list with more options.


5. Known Issues
---------------

This does not cover everything, but lists the most important issues
you may run into. We plan to fix most of these, before releasing the
first version of TALKS for Series 60.

* Though it is possible to mute a ring tone by pressing [Key2], when a
call comes in, TAlKS will not read the caller ID in this beta
version. This is concidered an important issue that we will fix
asap.

* On some phones, we have experienced a crash of one instance of
TALKS, when the phone has been turned off, without shutting down the
speech engine. Because of this, we recommend that you press
[TALKS],[Back], before switching off the phone. When the crash
occurs, you still can use speech in all other parts of the phone, so
you can call TALXOFF in the main menu, then TALXON to get TALKS
working again.

* TALKS cannot recognize graphics on Series 60 right now. Because of
this, only numbers are read for any graphics, and the slider
settings cannot be read in a list. However, when you open the window
to adjust the slider, like for Speed or Volume, the values are read
out correctly.

* The WAP browser, the Calculator, and the Product Info application
are not yet supported by TALKS. However, you can enter "*#0000#" in
the Telephone application to get the firmware version, and *#06# to
read the IMEI number. We are not sure that we can make WAP
accessible in the first release, but plan to do it as soon as we get
specific information from Nokia.

* At certain places, we have to implement an automatic silent mode for
TALKS. For instance, when a call is in progress, any speech output
silences the actual conversation, no party can hear the other party
durring an utterance. We recommend that you silence TAlKS during a
call, by pressing [TALKS], [Back] in such situations. This has a
very high priority, and will be fixed in the release version.

* We have not yet implemented a virtual cursor, that allows you to
read SMS messages etc. line by line, word by word, or letter by
letter.

* To completely read a help text or long message, you have to press
[TALKS],[Down] repeatedly.

* The program "Extended Profiles Pro" from Psiloc crashes the
announcement of the status indicators with [TALKS],[Key 2]. We
recommend that you do not use this program right now.

* The Eloquence version that is used with the current test drive of
TALKS is also in beta state. When entering letters, we have noticed
that the delay between the utterance of letters is too long. So, you
only know what you have typed in when the letter has already been
inserted into the text. We are working with Scansoft, to find a
solution for this problem.

* The handling of keyboard input has to be improved, by accessing
keystrokes at a lower level. Right now, for example, you can hear a
tone when pressing [TALKS], followed by a number key, inside the
Phone application. And when entering [TALKS], [End], to read the
current time and date, you always land in the Phone application,
like when pressing [End] alone.

5. Troubleshooting
------------------

If you ever should run into serious trouble, for instance, a constant
rebot occurs, you can take out the memory card, and reboot the phone.
Though you may get a few errors, the phone should work OK. Then you
can start "TALXOFF" from within the menu, insert the MMC again, and
reboot the phone. This allows you to get out of any problems that may
be caused by TALKS, if you have followed our advice and installed it
to the memory card.
